Why the supplier tabs matter

Most of the profit in embroidery is not in the stitches. It is in buying blanks well and holding your price. The same cap from two suppliers, in different pack sizes, is hard to compare in your head and obvious on paper – and that difference is pure margin, for no extra machine time.

Know what Etsy actually paid you

Etsy’s report tells you what you netted, but it leaves out the transaction fee and the listing fee – so the number you are reading is not the number that reached your bank. Across a year of orders that gap is usually 7 to 10 percent, counted as profit and never had.
