Farm Hat & Cap Embroidery Digitizing
A cap is the hardest place to put your farm name — and the most seen. A design that looks fine on a shirt can pucker, lean or run off the panel on a structured cap. We digitize caps as caps, so your brand sits straight and clean on the hat everyone sees at the feed store.

What makes cap digitizing different
A structured cap stitches on a firm, curved panel, usually in a cap frame that runs the design bottom‑up and from the center out — not the way a flat design is built. A few things have to be right or the hat fights you:
- Height limit. On a structured cap you’ve got roughly 2 to 2.25 inches of usable height before you hit the seam and the crown. We size and build the design to live inside that, so nothing runs off the top.
- Bold over fussy. Thin outline text and tiny details distort on the curve — we weight the letters so they read clean on a cap.
- Push and pull. Caps need underlay and density set for a firm panel so the design doesn’t ripple or shift the fabric.
Got an unstructured (soft) cap instead? That’s a different build again — tell us which you have and we’ll digitize for it.
How it works
- Send your logo or artwork — a photo, PDF, PNG, anything — with the size, placement and thread colors. Don’t have a file? Describe it and we’ll help.
- Check out securely — from $25. That places your order.
- We hand‑digitize it — a real person maps every stitch for your fabric and size. Never auto‑converted.
- Your stitch file is ready the next business day — in the format your machine reads (PES, DST and more).
- Free minor edits until it’s right, and the file is yours to keep — original plus any revisions.

Common questions
- Why won’t my shirt logo work on a hat?
- A flat design isn’t built for a cap frame or the curved, firm panel — it can pucker, lean, or run past the seam. A cap version is digitized bottom‑up, center‑out and sized to the cap.
- How tall can a cap design be?
- On a structured cap, plan for about 2 to 2.25 inches of height before the seam. We build your design to fit that cleanly.
- Can you do my farm name across the front?
- Yes — a wide, bold wordmark is ideal for a cap front. We’ll weight the letters so they hold up on the curve.
- What machines can stitch it?
- We send PES, DST or whatever your machine reads. Tell us your machine and hoop/cap frame.
