What are you paying for?
An embroidery machine cannot stitch a JPG or PNG directly. It needs instructions that tell it where to place stitches, which stitch types to use, and what order to sew them in.
Digitizing creates those instructions.
At Craftylife Boutique, your artwork is hand-digitized. We plan the stitch direction, density, underlay, and sequence for your intended use.
The goal is a design that stitches cleanly—not simply a screen preview that looks like your artwork.
Why do size and fabric matter?
A logo for a left-chest placement needs different decisions from a large design on a jacket back.
Small lettering may need simplification to remain readable. Fine details that work at a larger size may not stitch well when reduced.
Fabric matters, too. A stretchy shirt, structured cap, and fluffy towel each present different stitching conditions.
Tell us what you’re embroidering and the finished size you need. Those details help us prepare the file for the job.
Can I use the same file on a hat and a shirt?
Not always.
A design prepared for a flat garment may need a different stitch sequence or construction for a cap. The cap’s shape, seams, and stitching area can affect how the design runs.
If you plan to embroider both, choose the $45 hat and shirt combo so both uses are covered in your order.
What do I receive?
You receive a machine-ready embroidery file in the format requested for your machine.
Quality-related revisions are included. If you encounter a stitchout problem, contact us with a clear photo and details about the fabric, stabilizer, and machine so we can review it.
Keep your original artwork and order details available if you need help later.
What should I send?
To get started, provide:
- Your clearest available artwork.
- The finished design size.
- What it will be stitched on, such as a shirt, hat, jacket, or towel.
- Your machine’s required file format.
- Any details that must remain readable or match a particular placement.
If you aren’t sure about a detail, include your question with the order.
How long does digitizing take?
Standard delivery is next business day.
Rush service is available for an additional $10. Select the rush option when placing your order and include any deadline information.
Is digitizing the same as buying embroidery software?
No. Digitizing creates a new embroidery file from artwork.
Software such as Unzip2Stitch helps you find, personalize, combine, and prepare embroidery designs you already own. It does not digitize an original logo from scratch.
If you need your business logo turned into stitches, order digitizing. If you already have an embroidery design and want to add a name, see our Unzip2Stitch tutorial.
